Program

Here’s what you’ll need to know about the program taking place at the 2025 Annual.  We’ll do a post later about things to do in the towns of Cobourg and Port Hope.  Despite being small towns, there’s a lot going on!

The address of the venue where the Annual is being held is 55 King Street West, Cobourg, Ontario.  It’s the grand building known as Victoria Hall, with an impressive history

Parking is available, and we’ll post more info on that in the near future.

When you enter the building, you’ll find the registration desks and happy smiling volunteers to direct you!  Everything for the Annual conference will be taking place in that one building - it’ll be cozy but wonderful.

Most of the events will be in the Concert Hall, located on the 2nd floor.  That includes a continental breakfast and lunch, as well as the AGM and speakers. Elevators are available, or you can take the staircase once walked by the future King Edward VII.

You won’t want to miss the display of judged rugs, held in the Art Gallery of Northumberland, located on the 3rd floor.  May 10 is the last day of the display - but you can visit it any time during gallery hours from April 29.  (Remember that if you have items to submit for judging, they must be delivered to Cobourg by April 25!  See the link at the top of the page re Judged Submissions).

Back on the first floor, there’s the Old Bailey Courtroom (a replica of the one in London, England) where we’ll be holding a rug registry and a display of vintage rugs.  We encourage you to bring along your rugs for registration.  You’ll need to visit this page for the necessary paperwork to complete ahead of time.

Vendors will be located on the 1st and 2nd floors - be prepared to shop!  In fact, why not contact them ahead of time to place an order that you can pick up at the Annual?  That will maximize your time in Cobourg. We’ll have a vendor page set up for you shortly with all of the important contact details.

As an added bonus, Chris Poole will be there sharpening your cutters and scissors.  He’s going to be very busy, so if you can get your cutters to him ahead of time, he can do the work beforehand and deliver it to the Annual where you can pick it up.  His email is bcdpoole@gmail.com.

Here’s a handy dandy schedule for the day.  Note, however, that we’re still fine tuning things, so the actual timing may be a tad different.  Conference attendees will receive the final schedule in their goodie bags on May 10.
